Activities Offered by the Schools
The circus at the Hill School is a program for 3rd and 4th graders that takes place during the winter and into the spring. Students choose a circus skill such as juggling, unicycle, pogo sticking, Chinese Yo-yo, devil sticks, acrobats, stilts, clowning and spent about 10 weeks perfecting it. Circus culminates with performances for students and parents prior to the spring break and in conjunction with the art show.
Please join us in June for our Annual Village School Talent Show. Our talent show is for Kindergarten and first grade students interested in sharing their talent. We welcome a large variety of talent! In the past we have been entertained with magic, joke telling, singing, dancing and more. Students interested in participating will receive permission forms, in May, to take home and fill out with their parents.
The Drama Club produces one show in the spring. Students in second, third, and fourth grades are encouraged to try out for parts each year. We also welcome student help in preparing the sets and posters and being involved backstage or helping with the night of the shows. This is an after school activity that starts in late January/early February and runs through the beginning of May. There are two performances in May usually during the second week of the month. Shows that have been done are Annie Jr, Peter Pan, Mother Goose Inc, and The Wizard of Oz.
