Review Teams (RTI)

Within our school community there are supports that teachers can access as they assess and plan for the individual needs of each student. To help with this process, the Village and Hill Schools have review teams. These teams are made up of staff members with varied expertise. Periodically, regular education teachers meet with this team to review student progress and to receive feedback and input from the team. This input may include some suggestions for additional strategies or interventions that might be helpful. 

All staff members view each student as having an individualized program. Teachers work to accommodate individual: learning styles, academic needs, social/emotional needs and physical needs. During this process should a concern arise regarding a child’s program, parents/guardians will be contacted. Otherwise, the child’s program will be reviewed with the parents/guardians at conference time.
