Officially named The Four Girls Memorial Library, the Library Media Center provides materials to support the curriculum of Pembroke Academy and the educational mission of the Pembroke School District.
Collection: Resources include over 17,000 books and audio-visual items, as well as subscriptions to over 70 magazines and 4 daily newspapers. Information services such as databases of periodicals, biographies, current events, and reference sources are also provided. (See Online Library Resources for more information.)
Equipment: Sixteen networked computers provide patrons with access to our online catalog and the Internet. Equipment such as TV/VCRs, DVD players, video cameras, digital camera, digital video cameras, data projectors, overhead projectors, slide projectors, and laptop computers are available for classroom use. Video editing equipment is also available for students and teachers to use for video projects.
Borrowing privileges: Circulating books may be borrowed for three weeks, back issues of selected magazines for three days. Other items may be borrowed on a case-by-case basis. There are no overdue fines, but seriously overdue books may result in restriction of library privileges, so please be mindful of when materials are due. Community members are always welcome to use the library and borrow materials.
Interlibrary loans: Books may be borrowed from other libraries in the state if our library cannot provide what you need. Also, periodical articles which are not available in our library can often be obtained from the New Hampshire State Library via fax. Just ask!
Hours: During the school year, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM. After school hours are subject to change.
