Academic Expectations

1. At graduation, all students will be able to communicate effectively through listening, speaking and writing
Exemplary The student can clearly express thoughts through writing.  They have clear thoughts through word choice and sentence structure.
Proficient The student does a fair job at displaying point of view.
Not Yet Proficient The student is very limited in explaining their point of view, spelling and sentence structure is limited.

 

2.  At graduation, all students will be able to work both independently and collaboratively
Exemplary The student can stay on task and be focused throughout a period of time during an activity, stressing teamwork and fair play.
Proficient The student does a fair job in sportsmanship and stays on task for a majority of the time.
Not Yet Proficient The student has a hard time demonstrating characteristics of sportsmanship, does not stress teamwork and does not stay focused on task at hand, and has a hard time working with others.

 

3.  At graduation, all students will be able to recognize what constitutes a healthy lifestyle
Exemplary The student understands and can display what it means to be physically educated, by knowing the benefits of a physically active lifestyle, valuing these benefits, and putting them into practice.
Proficient The student demonstrates some characteristics and understanding of a physically educated person.
Not Yet Proficient The student shows limited knowledge in the area of what it means to be a physically educated person, does not value the benefits and shows limited desire to put them into practice.
