LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT



There are many words that are the basis for language development. These simple words are frequently used during normal conversation. It is important that your child know and understand these words.

To help your child get off to a good start in his/her language development, practice the following words with your child. Have your child say and write these words until they become familiar. Once he/she has command of these basic words, encourage your child to use them in sentences. Here is a list of words that your child will need to know. They are:
